Ozzy Osbourne Dies at 76, Surrounded by Family

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, has died at the age of 76. He passed away peacefully at his Buckinghamshire home on July 23, surrounded by his wife Sharon and family.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance confirmed a critical care team was dispatched but were unable to save him. Ozzy, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” had been open about his declining health in recent years.

Just weeks ago, he made a surprise final appearance on stage with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. Fans hailed it as a historic farewell.

In a heartfelt family statement, the Osbournes said Ozzy died “surrounded by love” and asked for privacy.

Ozzy rose to fame in the 1970s with Black Sabbath and later found solo success with albums like Blizzard of Ozz. Known for wild stunts—including biting a bat on stage—he was also beloved for his humor and reality TV presence.

In 2020, Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis. He had previously suffered a serious spinal injury and underwent multiple surgeries. Despite health struggles, he remained a music icon until the end.

Tributes poured in from around the world, including messages from Alice Cooper, Piers Morgan, and Yungblud. Black Sabbath posted a tribute that read: “Ozzy Forever.”

He is survived by Sharon and their children Aimee, Jack, and Kelly.
