July 9, 2025 — HSBC has appointed Sami Abouzahr as its new global head of Investments and Managed Solutions for Wealth and Premier Solutions. The move is part of the bank’s broader strategy to enhance offerings for private banking and premier wealth clients across the globe.

Based in Hong Kong, Leading Global Wealth Strategy

Abouzahr will remain based in Hong Kong, overseeing the global product strategy for wealth solutions. His focus will include:

  • Sustainable investments

  • Discretionary portfolio management

  • Alternative investment solutions

In addition to this role, Abouzahr will head HSBC’s Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Solutions Group, where he will work to deliver bespoke services to UHNW individuals, families, and entrepreneurs worldwide.

Currently head of Wealth and Premier Solutions in Hong Kong, Abouzahr will continue in that role until a successor is named. His career spans senior leadership roles across Hong Kong, mainland China, and the UK, with expertise in:
