Chick-fil-A Named Top Fast Food Chain in Customer Satisfaction for 11th Year

Chick-fil-A has once again claimed the crown as America’s most beloved fast food chain, topping the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) rankings for the 11th consecutive year.

According to the 2024-2025 ACSI report, which gathered over 16,000 customer surveys between April 2024 and March 2025, Chick-fil-A scored 83 out of 100, securing its position as the nation’s most customer-approved quick service restaurant.

How Other Chains Compare

While Chick-fil-A excelled, KFC slipped to 77 points, a 5% drop from the previous year. Meanwhile, McDonald’s, despite aggressive efforts to recapture customers with the revival of its iconic Snack Wrap, only scored 70 points—well below the category leader.

The ACSI report divides results by region—South, West, Northeast, and Midwest. Chick-fil-A came out on top nationally and also led in both the South and West. Starbucks ranked highest in the Northeast, followed by strong performances in the West and South as well.

McDonald’s Comeback Strategy Falls Short

To win back its customer base, McDonald’s recently confirmed the return of its long-discontinued Snack Wrap, now slated for a July 10 comeback. Originally pulled from menus in 2016, and briefly revived in 2020, the Snack Wrap’s latest version might feature new McCrispy Strips—raising eyebrows among purists hoping for the original.

Despite the buzz, early sentiment suggests the move may not be enough to close the satisfaction gap between McDonald’s and its faster, more efficient rivals.

Fast Food vs. Full-Service Restaurants

The survey also highlighted an interesting trend: quick service restaurants (QSRs) are closing the gap in customer satisfaction with full-service establishments. QSRs held steady at 79 points, while full-service restaurants dropped 2% to 82.

“With dining out becoming more of a luxury, every customer interaction matters,” said Forrest Morgeson, ACSI’s director of research. He noted that smaller brands like Raising Cane’s and Wingstop are disrupting legacy chains with smart marketing, strong digital strategies, and a focus on consistency.

The Key to Winning Customers in 2025

The takeaway? Fast food chains that adapt quickly and stay consistent in service are best positioned to thrive in the current landscape. Chick-fil-A’s continued reign suggests that fast, friendly, and accurate service is still king—even in a market where new gimmicks and old favorites return regularly.
