McDonald’s Partners with DoorDash to Launch New Online Ordering Experience
McDonald’s U.S. has introduced a new online ordering channel in partnership with DoorDash, allowing customers to place McDelivery orders directly from their mobile devices or desktop computers without downloading an app, logging in, or creating an account.
Accessible through McDonalds.com, the platform enables users to browse the menu, place orders, and select delivery without extra steps. All deliveries are fulfilled by DoorDash drivers.
“With millions of customers visiting McDonalds.com each month, this channel extends our reach, offering a seamless and convenient way to have their McDonald’s favorites delivered,” said Tim Snyder, McDonald’s head of delivery. “It reflects our continued commitment to meeting customer demands and strengthening accessibility across all touchpoints.”
Simplified Checkout and Flexible Payments
The new process streamlines checkout to just a few clicks and includes multiple payment options, with no account creation required.
“We’re making it easy for customers to order McDonald’s wherever they are,” said Shanna Prevé, DoorDash vice president of enterprise sales and business development. “This global partnership is powered by innovation — driving sales, simplifying operations, and elevating the customer experience.”
Part of McDonald’s ‘Three Ds’ Strategy
The launch aligns with McDonald’s long-term growth strategy focused on delivery, drive-thru, and digital channels. In the first quarter of 2025, CFO Ian Borden reported that U.S. delivery sales hit record highs, reinforcing the company’s investment in these areas.
McDonald’s first piloted DoorDash delivery in 2019, expanded the partnership in 2021, and now supports McDelivery in 29 countries. The brand originally launched McDelivery in 2017.
