‘Dumber Than Dogs**t’: GOP Congressman Roasted Over Phony ‘F**k Trump’ Video
Rep. Riley Moore’s hot take went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Rep. Riley Moore (R-W.Va.) reposted on social media a deepfake video that falsely depicted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) dancing off a mall escalator wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the message “Fuck Trump” to the Pussycat Dolls’ hit “Don’t Cha.”

“If you were at the mall with your kids and this guy rolled down the escalator, you would call the cops and get him banned,” Moore wrote on X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly called Twitter.

The post (see it here) was swiftly hit with a community note clarifying it was fake. The person who appears to have originally shared the video online claimed to having “swapped the face.”

Moore may have known the video was phony when he shared it.

And it could have been some kind of taunting commentary of Walz, who was Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ running mate in the 2024 presidential election against Republicans Donald Trump and JD Vance and has been a furious critic of the current White House.

But, with Moore not responding to being called out over the clip, social media users mercilessly mocked the lawmaker for appearing to fall for it.

“‘Days since a congressman fell for an AI video’ sign set back to zero,” Semafor’s Dave Weigel responded.

Other commenters were even more blunt, calling Moore “dumber than dogshit,” an “idiot” and telling him: “This is embarrassing, dude.”
